February 2nd -5th, 2025 Weekday ski trip to Giants Ridge, Biwabik, MN, Leader Mollie Stiehl 715-828-5582, mollie.stiehl@hotmail.com Enjoy skiing together for 2 days (or more if you like). The resort also offers 63 kilometers of Nordic trail terrain.They have 35 runs that are beautiful groom, 7 lifts, of world class Nordic trails Terrain for all skill levels, 1/3 for beginners, 50% for confident skiers, and 17% for experts mountain you will find enough mountain to enjoy for 2 or 3 days.
Lift tickets are $50 per day and $40 per day for seniors and military.The resort has a ski inn-ski out lodge with hotel style rooms, as well as 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom condos. There are also chalets a short walk across the road to a lift that can be booked with the resort.
Make your reservations soon as they are filling up now. My group has reserved a condo unit Sunday the 2nd thru the 5th. The lodge also has two on site restaurants making it convenient to stay there even if you don’t want to cook.

Pickup Trips - find a friend to ski with.

These are typically last minute trips to take advantage of recent snow, weekday days off, or extended trips out west.

Trip Insurance. What is it? Do I need it?
Your ski vacation is a significant investment. Like many things in life, sometimes things can, and do, go wrong. To reduce the financial risks asociatated with vacation travel, there are companies that offer "Trip Insurance". This type of insurance covers unanticipated expenses related to trip cancellations, delays, accidents requiring medical care, etc... The coverage usually costs about 5 or 6% of the total trip.
The Red Eye Ski and Snowboard Club does not sell trip insurance as part of their group trips, but we urge each participant to consider the value of insurance coverage as it pertains to each trip and the unique risks associated with that trip.
